Steve previously worked for many years selling real estate in Canberra and the Gold Coast. He handled VBC’s sales in the ACT from 1990 to 1992 whilst working with an ACT REIA agency. He then ran his own real estate agency to 1995. He is a representative on the Master Builders Association Residential Council and a member of the REI Committee. Steve joined VBC in 1995 as ACT Sales Manager and from 2000 he has taken an active role in managing sales across VBC’s projects.

Damien has recently joined The Village Building Co. as Financial Controller. Prior to joining VBC, he had 15 years experience in both audit and business services. During this period Damien has held senior positions such as Audit Director and was Principal of a business services firm. As the Company Financial Controller, Damien has primary responsibility for the supervision of the finance function including management accounts and statutory compliance.

Peter Ramstadius

For over 20 years Peter held various senior project management positions with NSW Government construction agencies. These included project mangement of the Sydney International Olympic Shooting Centre, Infrastructure Delivery Manager for the Clarence Valley and Coffs Harbour Regional Water Supply and the new Shannon Creek Dam. Peter joined VBC in 2003 and is managing the acquisition and planning and development of our Coffs Harbour projects.

Terry Shaw

Terry obtained his engineering degree in 1991, and then worked for a residential land development company. From 1994 to 2001, Terry was employed as a project manager/engineer for the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation (SMEC) completing assignments in Australia and overseas. He joined VBC in 2001 and is responsible for the management of ACT projects including construction of 160 dwellings at Proximity, Bruce, and the delivery of 200 dwellings in Bruce 2. Over the coming years he will develop in a broader role in the management of tenders and in oversighting construction management contracts for units and for major housing developments, initially within the ACT.

Chris Daley

Chris joined VBC in 2007 after working for over 15 years as an engineering consultant. Prior to commencing in consulting he also worked for a short period of time in the Estate Development Section of the ACT Governments Department of Environment Land and Planning. Past responsibilities included managing multi-disciplinary design and construction supervision teams. Projects have included both land development and also trunk civil infrastructure with a large focus on the development of roads. Chris has worked on projects throughout Australia as well as undertaking several overseas assignments.

Greg has recently joined VBC.  He previously worked in senior management positions for Sayers Australia Pty Ltd, managing civil infrastructure projects in the ACT. He was also the Manager of Sayers Building Group, responsible for human resources, occupational health and safety, approvals, negotiation and engagement of consultants and subcontractors.  Prior to this Greg worked for engineering consultants including 11 years with GHD Pty Ltd.

In 1990, Malcolm joined property developer Peter Kurts Group Pty Ltd marketing residential land, and furthered his residential development experience working with the MUR Group at Springfield Estate, and Cooper Constructions. Malcolm joined VBC in August 1999. Malcolm works with architects and builders and has been responsible for delivering between 500-600 houses to the Queensland market.

Prior to Yasmin joining The Village Building Co. the year, her role at Kleenmaid as State Sales Manager involved her working on large scale commercial projects with interior designers, developers and builders.  Her previous experience and qualifications include a 15 year career in sales and marketing and a Diploma in business.  In Yasmin’s role as Housing Manager she is responsible for the successful delivery of each house at ‘Brindabella at Macgregor’, the largest housing program the Company has produced to date.  Yasmin is currently completing a Diploma in Building.

Since 1993 Paul has worked on many high end homes valued up to $3 million in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. Until joining VBC he ran his own successful company, building up-market architectually designed residential homes, industrial factories and small scale commercial developments in and around Shoalhaven. Paul joined VBC in August 2006 and is responsible for all building contractors, building approvals and designs in Wollongong. He also supervises civil designs and civil contractors at Edgewood Estate in Wollongong.

Mark has over 30 years experience in the building and construction industry. He has undertaken construction management roles, and has run his own steel fabrication business. Mark specialised in design and construction of exclusive homes before joining VBC in July 2006. Mark is instrumental in delivering the housing programme for the Coffs Harbour Region. Currently Mark is also coordinating the construction of a new tourist precint in Coffs Harbour, at the Big Banana.
