Albert Dabas

Prior to joining VBC in 1993, Albert worked in various financial and operational management roles for Hooker Corporation Ltd, the Wheelock Marden Group, the Mutual Home Loans Fund of Australia Limited, Information Electronics Limited and Argyle Homes. He is responsible for the financial structure and feasibility of new project proposals going to the Board and gives high level assistance to the Managing Director and the Board on all matters. He has particular responsibility for Coffs Harbour, Brisbane and financial matters and is a “key person” under VBC’s Australian Financial Services Licence.

Alex Tarasenko
Deputy Chief Executive (Operations)

Alex joined VBC in 2008, and has extensive experience managing property development projects and profit centres in Australia and America. From 1999-2008 he managed the Ohio and Kentucky operations of a market leading residential land developer after initially developing a prestigious master planned country club community for the company.
He is responsible for the overall operations side of the business including subdivision, housing and apartment design and construction, and sales and marketing.

Ken Ineson
Executive General Manager Land Development

Ken started with VBC in 1996 as Project Manager for ACT and NSW residential developments. He has a very broad experience in civil and infrastructure projects, and has managed the development of over 4000 residential blocks. He is responsible for land development across the company.
Hans Sommer
General Manager (Acquisitions & Feasibilities)
Dip. C.E.; Dip. T.&R.P.
Hans held senior positions in the National Capital Development Commission (NCDC), was head of ACT Government Land Development and was the ACT Government Director on 14 joint venture land development boards. Hans commenced at VBC in 1998. He handles major planning issues in VBC projects and project acquisition proposals going to the Board. He is currently managing the Wollongong office which includes the two major projects of Edgewood and Bulli.
John Kenworthy
General Manager (Regulations Review, Sustainability, Project Feasibility & Direct Import Purchasing)
B.E. (Civil)
John worked with engineering consultants Gutteridge Haskins & Davey (GHD) from 1973, undertaking design and supervision of land subdivision and housing projects in the Northern Territory and ACT. In 1988 John joined VBC as Senior Projects Manager until 1995. From 1995 to 2003 John managed his own steel framing business and consulted to VBC and the Hindmarsh Group. John has been Chair of the MBA ACT Residential Builders Council and has served on numerous ACT Government and industry technical committees. Since rejoining the Company in 2003 John has overseen civil or housing construction across the Group and now oversees project feasibility, sustainability, government regulation review and direct import purchasing.
Vince Whiteside
Company Secretary, Treasurer & Investor Relations
B. Fin. Admin; FCPA; CFTP; GAICD
Vince was an Internal Auditor with Unilever before spending five years with Australian National Industries in Corporate Financial Accountant and Financial Controller roles. From 1989 to 1993 he was a Financial Controller with Collins & Leahy Holdings in PNG. Vince joined VBC in late 1993 as the Financial Controller and ultimately becamse the Group's Chief Financial Officer. With the establishment of the Strategic Planning Unit, Vince's focus is now on shareholder, investor and banking relationships, which includes the syndication of projects and arranging all loan funding. He performs various secretarial functions for the Board and Audit and Governance Committee, prepares offer documents and is a "key person" under VBC's Australian Financial Services license
